Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have any available puppies?
All information about our current and upcoming litters can be found on our Available Puppies page.
If no puppies are listed there, it means we don’t have any available at this time. Please check back soon for updates!

Can I get on a waiting list?
Yes! Please fill out the form at the bottom of our Available Puppies page.
Joining the waiting list is free of charge. Once we have puppies available for reserve, I’ll email everyone who has submitted the form with the next steps.

When can I place a reserve?
When the puppies are about 5 weeks old, I’ll send an email to everyone on the waiting list letting you know it’s time to come meet the puppies and choose your favorite.
At that time, a $300 deposit is required to hold your puppy of choice.

 Is the deposit refundable?
The $300 deposit is non-refundable, unless the puppy you reserved becomes unavailable due to an unforeseen event such as illness or death.
In that rare case, you may choose to have your deposit refunded.

.

What is the price?
Prices vary from litter to litter due to several factors such as pedigree, color, and availability.
Typically, our puppies are $1,800 plus tax or less.

 How do I make payment?
We prefer cash, which can be given when you meet the puppy prior to placing a reserve.
However, we also accept credit cards in person.

If you’d like to place a reserve without first meeting the puppy, I can send an invoice using Square, our card processing service.

If I pay cash, can I avoid paying tax?
No. Sales tax is a government requirement and must be paid 100% of the time, regardless of payment method.

 May I meet the parents?
Yes, you may definitely meet the parents. Please mention this when you schedule a time to meet the puppies.

When can my puppy come home?
Your puppy can go to their forever home at 8 weeks of age.
Please note, they cannot come home early, as this is a New York State requirement.

 Are the puppies purebred?
A: Yes, they are purebred and will come with a limited AKC application form. “Limited” registration means the puppy is AKC registered but does not include breeding rights.

Please note: We do not guarantee any puppy to be suitable for breeding or show quality. Unless full (open) registration is specifically requested, all puppies are sold with limited registration for pet homes only. Full registration may be available on a case-by-case basis for an additional $400 fee.

Are you a puppy mill?
Absolutely not. We value the health and well-being of our dogs.
Our dogs receive annual health exams from a licensed veterinarian, and we are periodically inspected by New York State, often with surprise visits.
We also perform genetic testing on our dogs and most are hip-tested to ensure their long-term health.

May I simply drop in to see the dogs/puppies?
As this is also our home and we have young children, appointments are required.
Visits can easily be scheduled by calling or texting 315-758-0070 or emailing weaverfarmslabradorretrievers@gmail.com.
